Sales Manager / Team Lead – Renewable Energy Solutions

About the role

As a Sales Manager/Team Lead your primary responsibility is to oversee and drive the sales performance of Portable Backup Units, Fixed Backup Units, and Solar and Backup Products. You will focus on identifying new sales opportunities, ensuring the achievement of sales targets, nurturing customer relationships, and promoting products through various channels. Additionally, you will manage and develop the sales team, ensuring they are motivated and well‑equipped to represent our products accurately. This role also requires flexible working hours, including weekends, where activations are planned.

Key responsibilities

• Motivate, guide, and develop the sales team, providing regular performance reviews, coaching and ensuring product knowledge.
• Manage sales administration, lead generation, accurate lead management and daily sales reporting.
• Develop and execute a comprehensive business plan covering sales, retention, cross‑selling, revenue and expense controls.
• Ensure all sales activities comply with company policies, maintaining professionalism and ethical conduct.
• Strategically plan and direct the team to meet objectives, KPIs, and sales targets while analysing performance data for improvement.
• Provide ongoing high‑quality training to improve sales techniques and technical product knowledge.
• Oversee contract submission, assessment and approval, coordinating with legal and finance teams.
• Recruit and onboard new talent, maintaining relationships with recruitment consultants.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years successful corporate direct sales experience.
• 1‑3 years experience in the renewable energy industry.
• 2‑3 years junior management experience.
• 3 years successful account management experience.
• Own vehicle is essential.
• Grade 12 education; sales/management qualification (12‑month certificate/diploma) desirable.
