Sales Executive - Groups

About the role

Mount Nelson, a Belmond hotel in Cape Town, is looking for a Sales Executive to grow its Groups business. Working with a Sales and Marketing team, you will build trusted relationships with clients and partners and turn opportunities into memorable moments, combining creativity, commercial insight and a deep understanding of luxury hospitality.

Key responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of existing clients to encourage repeat and new business.
• Track and record sales activities and account growth using available systems and tools.
• Attend trade fairs, exhibitions, networking events and company events as requested.
• Take part in site inspections and client entertainment, which may include evenings and weekends.
• Conduct sales calls to client offices and identify new sales opportunities.
• Meet and exceed sales targets and profit margins by driving Hotel Rooms and Banqueting revenue.
• Work with the Groups and Events team and the Area Revenue Director to ensure the best pricing strategy on quotes.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a sales executive or in a similar role.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Thorough understanding of marketing and negotiating techniques.
• Self-motivated with a results-driven approach.
