Sales Development Representative (SaaS) – Hybrid – Cape Town

About the role

DataFin IT Recruitment is seeking a Sales Development Representative to build and lead its outbound lead‑generation function. The role focuses on strategic prospecting of senior enterprise stakeholders and converting high‑quality leads into sales opportunities.

Key responsibilities

• Design and execute targeted outbound campaigns to generate enterprise leads.
• Research and identify key decision‑makers across C‑suite, HR, Operations and Digital Transformation.
• Engage prospects via LinkedIn, email, phone and other channels with personalised outreach.
• Qualify Marketing Qualified Leads (MQLs) and turn them into Sales Qualified Leads (SQLs).
• Schedule discovery meetings for the sales team and maintain accurate CRM records.
• Analyse campaign performance and continuously improve outreach effectiveness.
• Collaborate with Marketing and Customer Success to optimise messaging and targeting.

Required profile

• Based in Cape Town with at least 3 years of B2B sales, business development or lead‑generation experience.
• Proven success engaging enterprise decision‑makers through outbound prospecting.
• Strong understanding of enterprise sales cycles and consultative selling.
• Highly organised, self‑motivated, resilient and results‑driven.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Required skills

• Experience with CRM platforms (HubSpot preferred).
• Proficiency using LinkedIn Sales Navigator.
• Use of AI prospecting tools to improve efficiency.
