Sales Development Representative - Financial Services

About the role

division50 is looking for experienced Sales Development Representatives based in South Africa to support outbound business development in the financial services sector. The role is remote and goes beyond general cold outreach: you will research and identify companies, family offices and financial institutions, especially within the UAE and DIFC ecosystem, and engage senior decision-makers by phone, email and LinkedIn.

Key responsibilities

• Research companies, financial institutions, family offices and decision-makers, including DIFC-registered ones, and build and maintain accurate prospect lists.
• Identify key stakeholders such as founders, managing directors, investment professionals and finance leaders.
• Run outbound prospecting by cold calling, email and LinkedIn, personalising outreach to each prospect.
• Qualify prospects against the agreed criteria and book meetings for the sales or advisory team.
• Maintain prospecting data in Google Sheets and the company's CRM, tracking outreach, responses, follow-ups and meeting outcomes.
• Work with the team to improve targeting, messaging and lead quality.

Required profile

• Based in South Africa; proven experience as an SDR, BDR, lead generation specialist or outbound sales rep.
• Experience selling to or working with financial services companies, and practical knowledge of DIFC companies and the UAE financial-services ecosystem.
• Good knowledge of family offices and different types of financial institutions.
• Clear, neutral, professional spoken English and strong written communication.
• Comfortable speaking with senior financial-services decision-makers and able to report on results with clear metrics.

Required skills

• Account and prospect research.
• Google Sheets for organising, cleaning and filtering prospect data.
• LinkedIn and other online sources to find companies and people.
• Preferred: CRM, LinkedIn Sales Navigator or sales-intelligence tools, and experience with UAE or GCC markets.
