Sales Coordinator

About the role

The Cape Town International Convention Centre (CTICC) is seeking a proactive Sales Coordinator to support its sales team. Reporting to the National Sales Manager, you will help achieve sales targets by handling administrative tasks, responding to client enquiries, and coordinating sales activities across the venue.

Key responsibilities

• Provide administrative support to all Sales Executives, including managing the sales inbox and handling urgent communications.
• Respond to new and existing client enquiries within 24 hours on behalf of Sales Executives.
• Research leads, generate prospect lists, and assist in preparing accurate quotations.
• Determine client needs, recommend suitable venues and services, and gather feedback for continuous improvement.
• Negotiate rates within authorised limits and coordinate site inspections.
• Maintain inter‑departmental communication and ensure booking information is shared with relevant teams.
• Upsell additional services such as catering, audio‑visual, décor, safety and security.
• Support the sales team in setting up calls, preparing reports, and achieving revenue objectives.

Required skills

• Proficiency in standard office software (e.g., Microsoft Office).
• Experience with sales administration or coordination in a hospitality or events environment is advantageous.
