Sales Consultant SMB

About the role

Rectron is looking for a proactive Sales Consultant to manage its Small‑Medium Business (SMB) customer base in South Africa. You will be the main point of contact for enquiries, order processing and product communication, ensuring a high level of service and timely delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Manage assigned SMB customers, build strong relationships and keep contact information up‑to‑date in the dealer base and ERP system.
• Process purchase orders accurately in the ERP system, generate quotes quickly, and keep clients informed on order status and any delays.
• Handle queries from resellers, raise issues with the correct internal department and provide feedback within an hour.
• Maintain up‑to‑date product knowledge through online training and share insights with the team.
• Communicate professionally with internal teams (warehouse, logistics, accounts) and ensure all quotes and emails are responded to within the defined SLA.

Required profile

• Matric or higher education, preferably with a sales or IT qualification.
• At least 2 years of experience in an IT sales environment, preferably covering African markets.
• Strong customer relationship skills and the ability to work under pressure.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite.
• Experience using ERP systems for order management.
