Sales Consultant

About the role

Leroy Merlin is looking for a Sales Consultant in Johannesburg. As the face of the store, you will help customers find products and solutions that meet their needs while creating a positive and welcoming shopping experience, driving sales and building customer loyalty.

Key responsibilities

• Engage directly with customers and act as the face of Leroy Merlin in-store
• Help customers identify products and solutions that fit their needs
• Create a positive, welcoming and helpful shopping experience
• Drive in-store sales through effective product knowledge and customer interaction
• Deliver excellent customer service at all times
• Build and maintain strong customer relationships and contribute to long-term loyalty
• Support the overall performance and success of the store

Required profile

• Matric (Grade 12) or equivalent qualification
• 1-2 years of retail sales experience, ideally in a customer-focused role
• Knowledge of home improvement products is an asset

Required skills

• Sales techniques, negotiation and rapport building
• Comfortable using POS systems and basic computer applications
• High level of accuracy and attention to detail, especially when managing displays and inventory
