Sales Associate – Thavani Mall

About the role

homechoice is a leading South African homeware retailer seeking a Sales Associate for its Thavani Mall showroom. The role focuses on delivering an exceptional in‑showroom customer experience, converting visits into sales, and supporting store operations.

Key responsibilities

• Engage customers on the showroom floor, understand their needs and convert interactions into sales while meeting individual targets.
• Demonstrate product features, benefits, pricing and promotions, and ensure accurate order processing and documentation.
• Provide end‑to‑end customer service, guiding shoppers through selection, payment, and after‑sales processes, and escalating complex issues when needed.
• Maintain up‑to‑date product knowledge, pricing accuracy and catalogue compliance.
• Handle basic stock activities, including receiving assistance, floor replenishment and maintaining visual merchandising standards.
• Adhere to cash handling, compliance, quality and risk procedures, and support training and policy sign‑offs.
• Collaborate with team members to achieve showroom targets and support promotional campaigns, working flexible shifts including weekends and public holidays.

Required profile

• Minimum Grade 12 / Matric qualification.
• At least 1 year of retail sales experience, preferably in a target‑driven environment.
• Customer‑facing experience with strong service mindset.
• Availability to work shifts, weekends and public holidays.
• Clear credit and criminal record.
• Homeware retail experience is an advantage.
