Sales Assistant – Delivery & Cash Collection

About the role

Premier FMCG is looking for a motivated Sales Assistant to support the Salesman driver in daily product deliveries across South Africa. You will ensure timely deliveries, handle cash collection where required, and maintain vehicle safety and hygiene.

Key responsibilities

• Verify and load company products according to the loading sheet and obtain signatures.
• Adhere to scheduled departure times and ensure on‑time deliveries.
• Maintain vehicle safety, cleanliness and hygiene standards.
• Collect cash from customers and reconcile daily cash collections where applicable.
• Off‑load products at customer locations efficiently.
• Report any accidents immediately to the transport department and Service Manager.

Required profile

• 1‑2 years experience in the FMCG sector.
• Valid Driver’s License (code 10/CI) with PDP endorsement.
• Matric / Grade 12 qualification.
• Ability to work under pressure in a 6‑day schedule, including weekends and public holidays.
• Willingness to work rotating 12‑hour shifts, including night shifts.

Required skills

• Basic computer skills.
