Sales and Service Team Leader

About the role

The Sales and Service Team Leader will drive outstanding sales performance for the branch, grow the Nedbank client base and ensure profitability. Reporting to senior management, you will lead a team of sales and service staff, champion digital adoption and uphold the highest standards of client service and regulatory compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver branch sales targets, increase market share and manage all sales leads efficiently.
• Oversee operational effectiveness of self‑service devices, ATMs, intelligent depositors and kiosks.
• Drive needs‑based selling, identify cross‑selling opportunities and collaborate with Small and Digi store teams.
• Lead client acquisition, promote digital channel usage and monitor community growth and profitability.
• Control branch expenses such as overtime, stationery and travel within approved limits.
• Ensure the team provides world‑class client service and achieves top satisfaction ratings.
• Maintain compliance with FAIS, AML, FATCA, TCF, POPIA, BROTA and OHASA standards, complete mandatory training and manage fraud and loss prevention.
• Coach, develop and engage staff, conduct regular performance discussions and ensure they have the tools to meet goals.

Required profile

• Proven leadership experience in a sales‑focused banking or financial services environment.
• Strong client‑centric mindset with a track record of achieving sales targets.
• Good understanding of banking regulations and compliance requirements.
• Ability to manage expenses, analyse profitability reports and drive digital adoption.
• Excellent communication and team‑development skills.
