Sales and Design Graduate

About the role

This graduate position offers hands‑on training in technical sales and design within the power and renewable‑energy sector. You will support customer solutions, new‑business development and solar PV and backup‑power projects while gaining practical experience across the sales cycle.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in developing PV and backup‑power system designs, including off‑grid, hybrid and grid‑tied solutions.
• Collaborate with the AutoCAD team to produce electrical drawings and optimise system yield.
• Identify and pursue new business opportunities in commercial, industrial and residential markets.
• Support lead generation, prospecting, cold calling and the sales process from qualification to closing.
• Conduct site evaluations, prepare cost estimates and contribute to project planning.
• Participate in commissioning, switch‑on activities and post‑sale technical support.
• Maintain accurate lead, customer and revenue data in Pastel Evolution CRM.

Required profile

• Relevant Electrical or Mechanical engineering degree.
• Strong technical aptitude for solar PV and backup‑power solutions.
• Excellent verbal and written communication in Afrikaans and English.
• Valid driver’s licence and reliable vehicle.
• Entrepreneurial, self‑motivated and resilient under pressure.
