Sales Agent - Telecommunications Upgrades

About the role

Our client, a leading telecommunications provider, is expanding its sales team in Cape Town. The Sales Agent will focus on selling upgrade solutions to existing customers, working in an office environment with rotational shift patterns.

Key responsibilities

• Sell telecommunications upgrades to existing customers.
• Promote relevant products, services and value‑added offerings.
• Identify customer needs and recommend the best upgrade solutions.
• Achieve and exceed sales targets and KPIs.
• Handle objections confidently and close sales opportunities.
• Maintain accurate customer records and update CRM systems.
• Follow up on customer enquiries and sales opportunities.
• Deliver an exceptional customer experience throughout the sales process.
• Stay up to date with products, pricing, promotions and industry developments.

Required profile

• Matric qualification.
• 1–2 years contact‑centre sales experience within telecommunications.
• Proven experience selling telecommunications upgrades (mobile, fibre or data products).
• Strong sales, negotiation and objection‑handling abilities.
• Excellent verbal communication and relationship‑building skills.
• Highly target‑driven, self‑motivated and resilient under pressure.
• Positive attitude, strong work ethic and team‑player mindset.

Required skills

• CRM systems proficiency.
• Computer literacy and ability to navigate multiple systems.

What we offer

• Salary range R12,500 – R16,500 per month plus commission.
• Full‑time, in‑office position with rotational shifts (08:00‑17:00 / 11:00‑20:00).
