Salaried Financial Advisor (Recruitment Pool)

About the role

Old Mutual is recruiting salaried financial advisors for a recruitment pool, based in East London. Advisors give advice on a defined range of products to a specific allocated market and are individually accountable for achieving results through their own efforts.

Key responsibilities

• Customer service: provide quality service, process cases, handle complex queries and resolve customer problems.
• Solutions analysis: analyse problems and issues to find the best technical or professional solutions.
• Receive visitors and refer complex matters to colleagues.
• CRM data: schedule follow-ups and record details after each contact to build a call plan and keep quality data for retention and business development.
• Clarify customer needs and develop prospecting plans for potential accounts.
• Business development: monitor sales and market data for a region, attend business-sector events and build a personal network.
• Data exploration: research and analyse trends using primary data sources and business intelligence tools.
• Compliance: understand policies, procedures and regulatory codes, and obtain supervisor approval for any exceptions.

Required profile

• Grade 12 (Matric).
• Valid driver's licence and own car.
• FAIS compliance qualification (NQF Level 5, FSCA approved).
• Clear criminal and credit check.
• At least 3 years of working experience, preferably in sales.

Required skills

• Computer literacy (MS Word, PowerPoint and Outlook).
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Presentation skills are an added advantage.
