Salaried Financial Advisor (Ngqamakwe, Butterworth and Surrounding Areas)

About the role

Old Mutual is hiring a salaried Financial Advisor to advise clients on a specific range of products for a defined market area (Ngqamakwe, Butterworth and surrounding areas). The advisor is individually accountable for achieving results through their own efforts.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver quality customer service, process cases, handle complex queries and resolve customer problems.
• Analyze problems and issues to find the best technical or professional solutions.
• Receive visitors, answer information requests and refer complex matters to colleagues.
• Schedule follow-ups and record details in the CRM system after each contact.
• Clarify customer needs, tailor presentations for decision-makers and influencers, and qualify prospects.
• Build a relationship management plan for potential accounts and develop a personal network in the business sector.
• Monitor sales and market data for the assigned region and attend business-sector events.
• Research trends and themes using primary data and business intelligence tools.
• Follow organizational policies, regulatory codes and codes of conduct, and obtain supervisor approval for any exceptions.

Required profile

• Grade 12 (Matric).
• Valid driver's licence and own car.
• FAIS compliance qualification (NQF Level 5, FSCA approved).
• Clear criminal and credit check.
• At least 3 years of working experience, preferably in sales.

Required skills

• Computer literacy (MS Word, PowerPoint and Outlook).
• Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills (presentations are an added advantage).
• Consultative selling, prospecting, sales data management and sales software.
