Salaried Financial Advisor

About the role

Old Mutual is hiring a salaried Financial Advisor who provides advice on a specific range of products to a specific allocated market and is individually accountable for achieving results through their own efforts. The role combines customer service, prospecting and business development.

Key responsibilities

• Provide quality customer service, process cases, handle complex queries and resolve customer problems
• Analyze problems and issues to find the best technical or professional solutions
• Receive visitors, refer complex matters to colleagues and schedule follow-ups in the CRM system
• Clarify customer needs, tailor presentations to decision-makers and influencers, and develop a relationship management plan for potential accounts
• Monitor and assess sales and market data for a specific geographic region and create a personal network within the business sector
• Research key themes and trends using primary data sources and business intelligence tools
• Follow organizational policies, regulatory codes and codes of conduct, and obtain supervisor authorization for exceptions

Required profile

• Grade 12 (Matric)
• Valid driver's licence and own car
• FAIS compliance: clear criminal and credit check
• At least 3 years of working experience, preferably in sales
• NQF Level 5 qualification (Higher, Advanced or Occupational Certificate) or equivalent

Required skills

• Computer literacy (MS Word, PowerPoint and Outlook)
• Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills (presentation skills are an added advantage)
• Consultative selling, direct selling, prospecting and sales data management
