Salaried Financial Advisor

About the role

Old Mutual is hiring a salaried Financial Advisor in Mmabatho. The advisor gives advice on a defined range of products to a specific allocated market and is individually accountable for achieving results through their own efforts.

Key responsibilities

• Customer service: provide quality service, process cases, handle complex queries and resolve customer problems.
• Solutions analysis: analyse problems and issues to find the best technical or professional solutions.
• Receive visitors, answer information requests and refer complex matters to colleagues.
• CRM data: schedule follow-ups and record details after each contact to build a call plan and keep quality data for retention and business development.
• Clarify customer needs: set objectives for calls and meetings, tailor presentations for decision-makers and influencers, and gather information on interest levels.
• Relationship development and prospecting: build a relationship management plan for potential accounts and connect with key decision-makers.
• Operational compliance: understand policies, procedures and regulatory codes, and obtain supervisor authorisation for exceptions.
• Business development: monitor sales and market data for a region, develop a personal network, attend business events and share market intelligence.
• Data exploration: research and use primary data sources and business intelligence tools to analyse trends.

Required profile

• NQF Level 5 higher, advanced or occupational certificate or equivalent.
• Competencies such as action orientation, stakeholder balancing, collaboration, communication, customer focus, accountability and driving results.
