Salaried Financial Advisor

About the role

Old Mutual is looking for a salaried Financial Advisor to provide professional advice on a range of financial products to an allocated market. You will be individually accountable for achieving results through proactive customer engagement and business development.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver high‑quality customer service, identify opportunities for new business and support client retention.
• Process cases, handle complex queries and resolve customer problems efficiently.
• Analyse specific problems to propose technical or professional solutions.
• Receive visitors, respond to information requests and refer complex matters to colleagues.
• Record follow‑up actions and customer data in the CRM system to maintain accurate call plans.
• Set clear objectives for sales calls, tailor presentations and ask probing questions to assess client interest.
• Develop and implement relationship‑management plans for prospective accounts.
• Ensure compliance with organisational policies, regulatory codes and obtain supervisory authorisation for any exceptions.
• Monitor sales and market data for the assigned geographic region to identify development opportunities.
• Represent the organisation at sector events, build a personal network and gather market intelligence.
