Retirement Benefits Counsellor – Member Support

About the role

The Retirement Benefits Counsellor provides professional, compliant guidance to members who are approaching retirement. You will help members understand their fund benefits, available retirement options and the Default Annuity Strategy chosen by their Retirement Fund, enabling confident, well‑informed decisions.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver one‑on‑one retirement benefits counselling sessions.
• Run retirement readiness programmes, webinars, workshops and seminars.
• Explain retirement processes, fund requirements and key considerations throughout the retirement journey.
• Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of Old Mutual’s retirement income solutions and default annuity products.
• Promote and use retirement calculators, digital tools and educational resources.
• Collaborate with employers, HR representatives, financial advisers and internal stakeholders.
• Facilitate member education sessions and contribute to team learning initiatives.
• Ensure accurate record‑keeping and compliance with regulatory and fund requirements.
