Retail Store Manager (Strictly Cosmetic Industry)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced, energetic, and customer‑focused Store Manager to oversee the day‑to‑day operations of a retail store based in Pretoria. The successful candidate will ensure smooth store operations, deliver excellent customer service, manage staff performance, maintain stock levels, and drive sales and profitability.

Key responsibilities

• Take overall responsibility for daily store operations, including opening, closing, cleanliness, and adherence to company standards.
• Supervise, motivate and schedule store employees, providing coaching, training and performance monitoring.
• Drive sales to meet monthly and daily targets while delivering exceptional customer experiences.
• Monitor stock levels, conduct regular counts, manage receiving, transfers, returns and minimise shrinkage.
• Maintain attractive visual merchandising and ensure promotional materials are correctly displayed.
• Complete daily and weekly reports, manage cash‑up procedures and ensure accurate transaction handling.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, workplace regulations and loss‑prevention measures.

Required profile

• Matric / Grade 12 qualification.
• Previous experience in retail or store management, preferably in a high‑volume environment.
• Strong leadership, people‑management and organisational skills.
• Excellent customer service and communication abilities.
• Ability to work retail hours, including weekends and public holidays.
• Computer literacy with proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Experience in Korean cosmetics (K‑Beauty) or related beauty retail sectors.
