Retail Store Manager (Cape Town)

About the role

Timberland is seeking a Retail Store Manager to lead its Cape Town store. This full‑time, on‑site position is responsible for delivering an exceptional customer experience while driving sales and upholding brand standards.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee daily store operations, including staff scheduling, coaching, and performance management.
• Achieve sales targets and maintain merchandising standards in line with Timberland brand guidelines.
• Monitor inventory levels, coordinate stock replenishment, and ensure accurate cash handling.
• Implement loss‑prevention measures and safeguard company assets.
• Track store performance metrics and report results to regional management.
• Collaborate on promotions, visual displays, and store initiatives with the regional team.

Required profile

• Proven ability to deliver strong customer service and maintain high satisfaction levels.
• Effective communication skills for interacting with customers, team members, and management.
• Experience in store management within a retail environment, preferably footwear, apparel, or outdoor brands.
• Knowledge of retail loss‑prevention practices.
• Strong organizational and problem‑solving abilities in a fast‑paced setting.
• Availability to work retail hours, including weekends and public holidays.
