About the role
Adendorff Machinery Mart is looking for a reliable, customer‑focused Retail Shop Assistant to join its Boksburg branch. You will help customers choose the right tools and machinery, process sales, and keep the store organised.
Key responsibilities
- Assist customers by providing product information, comparing features, and recommending suitable equipment.
- Operate the point‑of‑sale system, process transactions accurately, and handle promotional displays.
- Support inventory management through shelf replenishment, stock organisation, and participation in stocktakes.
- Maintain attractive visual merchandising and set up promotional material as required.
Required profile
- Strong customer service orientation with a focus on reliability, honesty, and teamwork.
- Ability to work in a fast‑paced retail environment, multitask and maintain accuracy under pressure.
- Willingness to learn and keep up‑to‑date with tools, machinery and related product knowledge.
Required skills
- Experience using a point‑of‑sale (POS) system.
- Basic inventory and stock‑control skills.
