Retail Branch Manager – Ulundi

About the role

Sanlam Developing Markets (SDM) is seeking a Retail Branch Manager for its Ulundi branch. The role involves leading the branch to grow its customer base and revenue while ensuring compliance and service excellence.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute the retail branch strategy to grow customer base and revenue.
• Guide, integrate and standardise activities of Sales Consultants in line with strategy.
• Lead a service delivery culture to ensure optimal client experience.
• Manage day‑to‑day operations, business planning and sales delivery.
• Ensure compliance, quality and risk management.
• Oversee people practices for direct reports, including talent management and performance.
• Plan and report monthly sales and service activities.
• Engage with internal and external stakeholders to build relationships.

Required profile

• Matric (Grade 12) with RE1 and RE5, plus 120 Wealth Management credits or a tertiary qualification recognised by the FSCA.
• Minimum 5 years recent industry experience, including at least 3 years in a leadership role.
• Service management, insurance sales, and credit/lending experience.
• Current Class of Business accreditation and continuous professional development compliance.
