Retail Branch Manager – Somerset West

About the role

The Retail Branch Manager will lead the Somerset West branch of Sanlam Developing Markets, driving growth, service excellence and operational performance.

Key responsibilities

• Grow the customer base and revenue by developing and executing the branch strategy.
• Guide, integrate and standardise the activities of Sales Consultants to align with strategic goals.
• Lead a service‑delivery culture that ensures an optimal client experience.
• Manage day‑to‑day operations, business planning and compliance for the branch.
• Oversee people practices with HR, including talent management, performance, development and grievance handling.
• Plan and report monthly on sales and service activities.
• Identify and engage key internal and external stakeholders to build strong relationships.

Required profile

• Matric (Grade 12) with RE1 and RE5.
• 120 Wealth Management credits or a tertiary qualification recognised by the FSCA.
• Class of Business accreditation (annual) and continuous professional development compliance.
• Minimum 5 years recent industry experience, with at least 3 years in a leadership capacity.
• Service management, insurance sales, and credit/lending experience.
