Retail Branch Manager – Lichtenburg

About the role

Sanlam Developing Markets (SDM) is a leading financial services provider in South Africa’s entry‑level and emerging middle market. The Retail Branch Manager will lead the Lichtenburg branch, growing the customer base and revenue by executing the branch strategy and delivering an optimal client experience.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement the retail branch strategy to increase sales and revenue.
• Guide, integrate and standardise activities of Sales Consultants in line with the strategy.
• Lead a service‑delivery culture to ensure optimal client experience.
• Manage day‑to‑day operations, compliance, quality and risk.
• Oversee people practices for direct reports, including performance management and development.
• Plan and report monthly sales and service activities.
• Engage with internal and external stakeholders to build and maintain relationships.

Required profile

• Matric (Grade 12) with RE1 and RE5.
• 120 Wealth Management credits or tertiary qualification recognised by the FSCA.
• Class of Business accreditation and CPD compliance.
• Minimum 5 years industry experience, including 3 years in a leadership role.
• Service management, insurance sales, and credit‑lending experience.
