Retail Branch Manager – Bizana

About the role

Sanlam Developing Markets, a leading financial services provider in South Africa, is seeking a Retail Branch Manager for its Bizana branch. The role combines strategic planning, sales leadership, and operational oversight to deliver high‑quality financial solutions to clients.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute branch strategy and business plans.
• Drive retail branch sales and achieve targets.
• Lead activations and improve sales and operational effectiveness.
• Establish a strong service culture and ensure compliance, quality, and risk management.
• Manage people, including coaching, performance reviews, and staffing.
• Prepare monthly plans, reports, and stakeholder engagement.

Required profile

• Matric (Grade 12) with FAIS RE5 and RE1 qualifications.
• 120 Wealth Management credits or a tertiary qualification recognised by the FSCA.
• Minimum 5 years recent industry experience, including at least 3 years in a leadership role.
• Proven sales track record and experience in service delivery within the financial sector.
• Strong knowledge of insurance, lending products, and relevant regulatory frameworks (FAIS, POPIA, AML, KYC, etc.).
• Fit and Proper compliance and continuous professional development (CPD) adherence.
