Restaurant Manager – The Glen (Johannesburg)

About the role

The Glen is launching a new modern up‑market restaurant and bar in the southern part of Johannesburg. We are seeking three energetic Restaurant Managers to lead both front‑of‑house and back‑of‑house operations, ensuring a seamless guest experience from opening to closing.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee daily restaurant operations, including service, kitchen, and bar areas.
• Manage cash‑up reconciliation, stock control, and inventory ordering.
• Implement opening and closing procedures and maintain compliance with health and safety standards.
• Recruit, train, and supervise staff, fostering a high‑performance team culture.
• Handle customer relations, resolve issues promptly, and uphold service excellence.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of restaurant management experience.
• Strong all‑round management capabilities covering both front and back of house.
• Fluent, well‑spoken English with excellent communication skills.
• Proven track record of reliable references and a stable employment history.
• Ability to work under pressure in a busy, fast‑paced environment.
