Restaurant General Manager – Tokai

About the role

We are seeking a dynamic Restaurant General Manager to lead our Tokai location. You will own the full spectrum of restaurant operations, drive profitability, and create an unforgettable guest experience while developing future leaders.

Key responsibilities

• Take full ownership of all restaurant operations, ensuring compliance with brand, food safety, health and safety standards.
• Lead, inspire, and develop managers and crew, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
• Drive sales growth and achieve financial targets, managing gross profit, labour, food costs and operating expenses.
• Analyze performance data, implement action plans, and maintain audit readiness.
• Oversee recruitment, training, coaching, succession planning, staffing levels and productivity.
• Manage stock, ordering, inventory control and waste reduction.

Required profile

• Strong, inspirational leader with a hands‑on approach and commercial mindset.
• Excellent communication, decision‑making and problem‑solving abilities.
• Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, high‑pressure environment.
• Matric (Grade 12) qualification.
• Minimum 5 years experience as a Restaurant General Manager, Senior Store Manager or equivalent in QSR, fast‑food, restaurant, retail or hospitality.
• Proven track record managing large teams, high‑volume operations and driving profitability.
• Strong financial acumen covering turnover, sales, GP, labour, food costs, net profit, productivity and waste control.
• Experience in recruitment, coaching, developing management teams and strong administrative/reporting skills.
• Flexible availability for weekends, public holidays and reliable transport.
