Restaurant Cook

About the role

We are seeking a reliable Restaurant Cook to join our Nutrition Services team. Working under the Restaurant Manager, you will prepare meals, serve guests, and maintain a clean kitchen environment.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes and quality standards.
• Serve customers and operate the cash register when needed.
• Clean and organize preparation and service areas after each shift.
• Assist with setup and service for parties and special events.

Required profile

• Ability to read, write and perform basic mathematical calculations (percentages and fractions).
• Strong knowledge of cooking, food preparation, serving and food presentation.
• Good interpersonal skills for customer interaction.
• Valid County Food Handler’s Permit.

Required skills

• Food handling certification.

What we offer

• Full‑time schedule: 4 hours per day, 225 days per year.
• Hourly wage of $18.11 (2026‑2027 salary table) with a minimum 5 % increase on promotion.
