About the role
SoluGrowth is hiring a Reporting & Analytics Lease Accountant in Gauteng, South Africa. The role combines technical lease accounting with commercial analytics in a downstream oil and gas environment, supporting the performance of a large operational asset portfolio.
Key responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end lease accounting in compliance with IFRS 16
- Prepare monthly lease accounting journals, reconciliations and reporting packs
- Maintain accurate lease records, including lease modifications and reassessments
- Analyse lease liabilities, right-of-use assets, depreciation and interest expenses
- Develop reports and dashboards to support management decisions
- Partner with Property, Retail Operations, Supply Chain, Legal and Commercial Finance teams
- Support budgeting, forecasting and business planning
- Identify lease cost optimisation and portfolio improvement opportunities
- Coordinate internal and external audit requirements
Required profile
- Degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field
- B Com Accounting / BCompt with audit articles preferred
- At least 5 years' experience in financial reporting, accounting or lease accounting
- Strong knowledge of IFRS 16
- Strong analytical, reporting and stakeholder management capabilities
Required skills
- ERP systems such as SAP or Oracle
- Advanced Excel and Power BI
