About the role

We are seeking a qualified Tax Accountant (EA or CPA) to work remotely on a contract basis, preparing federal and state tax returns for individuals and businesses.

Key responsibilities

Prepare and review federal and state tax returns for individuals and businesses.
Ensure compliance with current tax laws and regulations.
Research complex tax issues and provide recommendations.
Maintain client records and documentation in accordance with tax standards.
Communicate with clients to gather necessary tax information and resolve discrepancies.

Required profile

Enrolled Agent (EA) or Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification.
Minimum three years of experience preparing tax returns for individuals and businesses.

Required skills

Proficiency with tax preparation software such as TurboTax or Drake.
Strong knowledge of federal and state tax codes and regulations.
