Remote Sprinkler Design Engineer

About the role

This position is for a remote Sprinkler Design Engineer who will design automatic sprinkler systems for a variety of commercial, industrial, residential and mixed‑use projects. You will work from home, collaborating with project managers, engineers and clients to deliver accurate, code‑compliant designs from concept through installation.

Key responsibilities

• Design automatic sprinkler systems for diverse development types.
• Perform hydraulic calculations and size pipework and components.
• Create detailed sprinkler layouts and design drawings using AutoCAD.
• Develop equipment schedules, design documentation and technical submissions.
• Review architectural and building plans to devise effective sprinkler solutions.
• Coordinate designs with project teams and other building‑services disciplines.
• Assist with material take‑offs and equipment specifications.
• Support project delivery from design through installation and commissioning.
• Provide technical support to project teams and clients as required.

Required profile

• Previous experience in sprinkler system design.
• Strong understanding of hydraulic calculations and pipe‑sizing principles.
• Ability to interpret construction drawings and specifications.
• Excellent attention to detail and strong analytical skills.
• Capability to work independently within a remote team environment.
• Strong communication and organisational abilities.
