Remote Conveyancing Paralegal (South Africa)

About the role

D2B is looking for a dedicated, detail-oriented Conveyancing Paralegal to join its team in a fully remote position. You will support the legal team with property transactions and conveyancing matters, helping to handle real estate settlements and related legal processes efficiently. The role follows UK business hours and pays R13,000 to R25,000 per month depending on skills and experience.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and review conveyancing documents such as contracts of sale, transfer documents and settlement statements.
• Carry out title searches, property searches and due diligence to support property transactions.
• Set up and organise files, manage documents and keep accurate records.
• Liaise with clients, real estate agents, lenders and other stakeholders throughout the process.
• Help prepare settlement documents and coordinate settlement timelines.
• Draft correspondence and keep clients informed about transaction updates.
• Support compliance checks and document reviews, and maintain data in legal practice management systems such as Smokeball.
• Complete all tasks according to UK conveyancing procedures and timelines.

Required profile

• 1 to 3 years of experience as a Conveyancer, Paralegal, Legal Assistant or in a similar legal support role.
• Experience supporting UK legal practices is required.
• Exceptional organisational and time-management skills, able to handle multiple priorities.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to keep confidential legal information secure.
• Proactive problem-solving and a willingness to work remotely; experience in a remote setting is a plus.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Google Workspace.
• Familiarity with legal practice management software (LEAP Legal, Smokeball, Clio, Actionstep, MyCase, InfoTrack, PEXA or similar) is a plus.
