Reliability Engineer – Asset Management (Mining)

About the role

Pragma is seeking a Reliability Engineer to work within the mining industry, supporting private‑sector clients on asset management initiatives. The role combines analytical engineering problem‑solving with hands‑on implementation of reliability best practices, and offers exposure to industry‑leading training resources.

Key responsibilities

• Identify opportunities for improving the client’s asset management system and apply a structured problem‑solving methodology to implement solutions.
• Deliver asset‑management training, develop training material and course content.
• Define and generate reports to measure and improve business processes.
• Provide ad‑hoc client support, training and project delivery.

Required profile

• Relevant tertiary qualification (BEng, BScEng, BTech) in Industrial, Mechanical, Chemical or Electrical engineering.
• Minimum five years of practical experience as a Reliability Engineer.
• At least two years experience in the mining industry (advantageous).
• Certification such as CMRP or SCPP is advantageous.

Required skills

• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Strong knowledge of asset management and reliability engineering principles.
