Relationship Manager - Gauteng, Johannesburg

About the role

Bidvest Bank is looking for a Relationship Manager in Gauteng, Johannesburg. The role generates revenue by sourcing new clients and proactively managing accounts to maximise profitability, while growing and retaining a portfolio of high-value banking relationships within the affluent market segment.

Key responsibilities

• Sourcing new clients through cold calling to meet monthly revenue targets, and educating clients on the full product offering
• Managing profit margins by giving clients comparative rate information and securing the best rates for banking products
• Tracking and reporting sales activity, identifying cross-sell and referral opportunities, and growing the client base by agreed monthly acquisition targets
• Anticipating clients' business needs, researching their businesses against the economic climate, and closing deals
• Acting as the primary point of contact, renewing client facilities by preparing business cases for credit and legal approval, and onboarding new clients in line with compliance and credit processes
• Keeping client files up to date, updating CRM records, and providing relevant reports
• Coordinating with legal, credit, internal bankers, back office and Treasury, assisting with SARB applications and resolving queries
• Completing mandatory training such as anti-money laundering, and keeping up with FICA, PoPI and FAIS compliance

Required profile

• NQF 6 qualification (National Diploma in Finance, Certificate in Banking or equivalent recognised financial qualification)
• 2 years of previous business banking and relationship management sales experience
• Own vehicle and valid driver's licence; office-bound work
