Registered Nurse – Theatre (Private Hospital)

About the role

Our client, a leading private healthcare provider, is seeking experienced Registered Nurses to work in the theatre department of a private hospital in Vanderbijlpark. The role involves part‑time shifts delivering safe peri‑operative care to surgical patients.

Key responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive peri‑operative nursing care in line with the Scope of Practice.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure patient safety and a positive experience.
• Identify, prevent and manage clinical risks throughout the surgical pathway.
• Maintain accurate and complete nursing documentation of all interventions.
• Ensure proper charging and management of stock, equipment and surgical instruments.

Required profile

• Valid South African Nursing Council (SANC) licence.
• Minimum one year post‑qualification experience in an operating theatre.
• Additional qualification in Operating Theatre Nursing or a Diploma in Critical Care Nursing is advantageous.
• Knowledge of nursing legislation, the Scientific Nursing Process and relevant BCA bundles.
