Registered Nurse – Operating Theatre (2 positions)

About the role

The hospital is seeking two Registered Nurses to work in the operating theatre unit. The role involves delivering high‑quality patient care, collaborating with doctors and multidisciplinary teams, and supervising allocated nursing staff within a private hospital environment.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise, organise and lead nursing activities to ensure efficient completion of tasks and compliance with SANC, DOH and National Core Standards.
• Conduct structured ward rounds with doctors, create and evaluate customised care plans, and implement medical instructions and prescriptions.
• Monitor and assess bedside medical technology such as ventilators, renal replacement therapy equipment and physiological monitors.
• Maintain accurate patient records, medication files, incident reports and care plans, updating them as patient needs evolve.

Required profile

• Diploma in General Nursing (SANC registered).
• Post‑registration experience preferred, especially in a private hospital or operating theatre setting.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) qualification.
• Computer proficiency and ability to document patient care accurately.
