Registered Nurse – ICU (MICU)

About the role

The Medical ICU (MICU) at Life Flora Hospital is seeking a qualified Registered Nurse to deliver comprehensive, high‑quality care to critically ill patients. Reporting to the Unit Manager, the nurse will work closely with a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Key responsibilities

• Provide basic and specialised nursing care to ICU patients.
• Communicate continuously with patients and families about condition and care plans.
• Administer medication in line with ethical and legal standards.
• Review and adhere to internal policies, protocols and quality‑management systems.
• Advocate for patients, coordinate with case management and inform doctors of any concerns.
• Collaborate with doctors, nurses and allied health professionals during rounds and procedures.
• Manage unit stock, staff hours and leave according to company policy.
• Maintain infection‑control standards and complete SHEQ incident reports.
• Inspect and report on the condition of medical equipment daily.
• Educate staff on proper use of specialised ICU equipment.
• Ensure accurate and compliant patient record keeping.

Required profile

• Relevant nursing degree or diploma.
• Formal ICU qualification (essential).
• Strong customer orientation, team‑player attitude and high energy.
• Ability to work under pressure in a constantly changing environment.
