Recruitment Consultant (Temp/Perm) – Johannesburg

About the role

Drake International is looking for a confident, results‑driven Recruitment Consultant to join its Bedfordview branch in Johannesburg. The role combines temporary and permanent staffing solutions across white‑ and blue‑collar sectors, requiring strong sales capability and client‑facing experience.

Key responsibilities

• Develop new business and expand existing client accounts.
• Manage a portfolio of clients with a commercial focus.
• Deliver permanent and temporary recruitment solutions.
• Conduct proactive telemarketing, client meetings and follow‑ups.
• Source, screen, interview and place candidates.
• Draft recruitment advertisements and maintain candidate pipelines.
• Perform reference checks and post‑placement follow‑ups.
• Complete placement and compliance documentation accurately.
• Advise clients on staffing needs and basic labour‑law considerations.
• Collaborate with internal teams to meet branch KPIs.

Required profile

• Relevant qualification in Business, Sales, HR or a related field (advantageous).
• Proven experience in recruitment, sales or a target‑driven consulting environment.
• Strong sales acumen and ability to build long‑term client relationships.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Valid driver’s licence and reliable transport.
