Recruitment Consultant – Technical Talent Acquisition

About the role

Research Square is expanding its international recruitment team and is looking for a proactive Recruitment Consultant to join the office in Somerset West, South Africa. You will work closely with a Dutch recruitment team, connecting South African engineering talent with leading Dutch and global engineering firms.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the full recruitment cycle for technical positions, from outreach to placement.
• Build and maintain trusted relationships with Dutch and international clients.
• Source and engage engineering and technical talent locally and internationally.
• Develop partnerships with universities and technical institutions.
• Support candidates through hiring, relocation, and onboarding processes.
• Contribute to employer branding, marketing materials, and social media visibility.
• Own your recruitment pipeline, planning, communication, and targets.
• Identify and propose improvements to recruitment strategies and processes.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree, preferably in HR, Business, Finance or a related field.
• 1–3 years of experience in recruitment or talent acquisition.
• Strong commercial awareness and confidence when engaging technical professionals.
• Excellent organizational, time‑management and prioritisation skills.
• Strong communication and presentation abilities in English.
• Proactive, self‑driven and comfortable working independently within a remote team.
• Interest in international business and cross‑border collaboration.
