About the role

MANCOSA, a DHET‑registered private higher‑education provider, is seeking a Recruitment Consultant to lead end‑to‑end talent acquisition for its growing academic and support teams in Durban. The role will partner with line managers to understand staffing needs, attract qualified candidates and ensure a smooth onboarding experience.

Key responsibilities

• Evaluate and update job profiles and descriptions for all positions.
• Manage the full recruitment cycle from requisition to onboarding, including advertising vacancies on job boards, social media and internal channels.
• Conduct fair screening, reference and qualification checks, and coordinate interview panels.
• Interpret psychometric results and provide feedback to hiring managers.
• Maintain recruitment websites and ensure accurate documentation of all recruitment activities.
• Prepare offer letters, contracts and communicate outcomes to candidates.
• Compile weekly/monthly recruitment reports and monitor employment‑equity targets.
• Support induction and onboarding processes to enhance new‑employee engagement.
• Provide first‑line HR advisory services and assist with employee wellness initiatives.

Required profile

• Strong understanding of recruitment best practices and employment‑equity legislation.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder‑management skills.
• Ability to analyse job requirements and translate them into effective recruitment strategies.
• Detail‑oriented with solid record‑keeping and reporting abilities.
