Recruitment Consultant

About the role

Edward Jacobs, a market‑leading recruitment firm specialising in accounting and finance, is looking for a Recruitment Consultant to expand its client base across Australia. You will develop and execute business strategies, build new client relationships and manage the full hiring cycle to achieve revenue targets.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct telephone screening and assess candidate skills to create shortlists.
• Coach and guide candidates and clients throughout the hiring process.
• Prospect new clients via cold calling, email campaigns and referrals.
• Prepare and deliver sales presentations, proposals and negotiate contracts.
• Develop relationships with new and existing clients through business development and marketing activities.
• Perform reference checks on candidates.

Required profile

• 2–3 years of recruitment experience in agencies or corporate environments.
• Comfortable with cold calling and headhunting in a competitive market.
• Excellent attention to detail, time‑management and communication skills.
• Self‑motivated, target‑oriented and able to work independently or as part of a team.
• Willingness to work within Australian business hours.

Required skills

• Proficiency with CRM systems and business development tools.
