About the role

Barrel Holdings is building its first dedicated recruiting function to support the acquisition and growth of specialized digital agencies. As the inaugural recruiter, you will shape the talent strategy across the holding company and its portfolio agencies, creating a pipeline of top‑tier agency talent.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain a proactive talent bench for future agency acquisitions, establishing relationships with high‑performing agency professionals before openings arise.
• Own end‑to‑end recruitment for Barrel Holdings’ internal roles across operations, finance, and M&A, delivering shortlists of qualified candidates for senior leadership review.
• Provide recruitment support to portfolio agencies on an as‑needed basis, acting as an internal partner rather than an external vendor.
• Design and implement the recruiting function from scratch, including sourcing strategies, screening processes, and talent database management.

Required profile

• Demonstrated ability to uncover and engage passive talent, especially agency operators and senior specialists.
• Strong networking skills with experience leveraging communities, referrals, and niche platforms beyond traditional job boards.
• Excellent judgment in candidate screening and a commitment to quality over volume.

Required skills

• Proficiency with LinkedIn Recruiter and advanced Boolean search techniques.
• Experience using applicant tracking systems or building talent pipelines.
