Quoting Clerk / Internal Sales

About the role

The Quoting Clerk / Internal Sales role is responsible for turning client price enquiries into accurate, official quotations. You will support the sales team by delivering fast pricing responses, keeping pricing data current, and helping customers make informed purchasing decisions.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare quotations by calculating costs for goods, labour, or services using company pricing sheets and guidelines.
• Process client phone and email enquiries regarding product availability, pricing, and delivery timelines.
• Track outstanding quotes, follow up with clients for feedback, and convert successful quotes into formal orders or invoices.
• Maintain accurate records of client communications, pricing updates, and revisions in the ERP or company database.
• Liaise with sales, warehouse, and finance teams to confirm stock availability and obtain special pricing approvals.

Required profile

• Grade 12 (Matric) or equivalent high school diploma.
• 1 to 3 years of administrative, data‑entry, or sales‑support experience.
• Strong attention to detail, good numeracy, and professional customer service skills.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
