Quality In-Service Trainee

About the role

Join Mondelēz International’s Sub‑Saharan Africa Business Unit as a Quality In‑Service Trainee. You will work in a fast‑paced laboratory environment, gaining hands‑on experience with equipment, analytical methods, and quality systems while supporting product release and continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Build expertise on a range of laboratory equipment and database programs.
• Support commissioning of new equipment, factory acceptance testing and process validation.
• Identify and implement continuous‑improvement opportunities in the labs.
• Monitor, analyse and release raw material and packaging samples using SAP.
• Prepare media and reagents for microbiology testing.
• Adhere to GLP, GMP and Health & Safety standards and assist in GLP audit follow‑up.
• Communicate test results to manufacturing and cross‑functional teams.

Required profile

• Studying towards or holding a Diploma/Degree in Food Technology, Consumer Science, Microbiology or Analytical Chemistry.
• Action‑oriented, proactive and fast‑learning.
• Strong organisational and problem‑solving abilities.
• Effective communicator able to reinforce GMP and safety procedures.
• Perseverant and able to work through setbacks.

Required skills

• SAP for material release.
• Good Laboratory Practice (GLP) and Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) knowledge.
• Microbiology and analytical testing techniques.
• Equipment commissioning and process validation.
• Preparation of media and reagents.
• Data capture and basic database program usage.
