Quality Coordinator

About the role

The Quality Coordinator will provide scientific and technical leadership to ensure the effectiveness and efficiency of SGS's quality assurance program. This role safeguards laboratory accreditation, manages non‑conformances, and supports continuous improvement across testing services.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain up‑to‑date scope of testing and coordinate documentation required for ISO 17025 accreditation.
• Identify and report non‑conformances in an unbiased manner to achieve customer satisfaction.
• Facilitate method validation, proficiency test evaluation, root‑cause analysis of complaints and audit findings.
• Plan, schedule and perform quality assessments and management reviews.
• Develop and maintain a document control system aligned with SGS standards and ISO requirements.
• Provide quality‑related training, awareness and feedback to laboratory personnel and management.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, environmental regulations and SGS integrity programs.
• Coordinate relationships with technical staff, suppliers and clients.

Required profile

• Strong understanding of laboratory accreditation standards (ISO 17025, SANAS).
• Ability to evaluate data objectively without bias.
• Commitment to ethical standards and safety‑first attitude.
• Excellent communication skills for building internal and external relationships.
