Quality Controller / Assurance

About the role

The Quality Controller/Assurance ensures that production processes and products meet the highest quality and safety standards. You will be responsible for verifying documentation, monitoring non‑conformances, and supporting audits in a food manufacturing environment.

Key responsibilities

• Verify and sign‑off production and quality sheets, identifying all non‑conformances.
• Maintain and update the approved supplier list and related questionnaires.
• Assist in reviewing policies and procedures to align with AIB, FSSC and PepsiCo standards.
• Update the training matrix and deliver awareness and induction training across departments.
• Investigate customer complaints, update registers and produce monthly reports.
• Control document changes, maintain the document register and support GMP inspections.
• Perform water, ingredient and final product sampling for monthly and annual microbiological testing.
• Monitor supplier performance for services such as cleaning and pest control.
• Support the Food Defence Plan, including VACCP and TACCP threat assessments.
• Update PRP programmes, non‑conformance registers and ensure closure of issues.
• Participate in internal, external and AIB audits, and stand‑in for FS meetings when required.
• Draft Certificates of Analysis, manage specifications and support the IPM and pest‑control programmes.

Required profile

• Experience in quality assurance or control within a food manufacturing setting.
• Familiarity with AIB, FSSC, GMP and other food safety standards.
• Ability to conduct training, audits and investigations of non‑conformances.
• Strong documentation and record‑keeping skills.
