Quality Control Manager

About the role

An established manufacturing and foundry operation is seeking an experienced Quality Control Manager to lead all quality assurance and control functions. This senior position requires extensive foundry experience and a strong grasp of quality management systems, process control, and continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct weekly process audits and lead continuous improvement meetings.
• Liaise with customers, external service providers, and machine shops to coordinate quality requirements.
• Investigate and record customer complaints (NCRs) and ensure timely corrective actions.
• Operate and maintain the current Quality Management System (QMS).
• Analyze quality data to identify trends and significant problems.
• Organise internal audits to ensure QMS compliance.
• Manage documentation of internal and external scrap and implement corrective actions.
• Prepare quality plans, maintain quality records, and provide resources for inspection and testing.
• Oversee incoming, in‑process, and final inspections, and control non‑conforming products.
• Report to top management on the effectiveness of the QMS.

Required profile

• Minimum 10 years of experience in a foundry environment.
• Strong problem‑solving and communication abilities.
• Proven ability to drive a culture of quality throughout an organisation.
