Quality Assurance Auditor

About the role

The Quality Assurance Auditor will lead and execute audits, investigations and inspections across the airline’s operations, ensuring compliance with the Quality Assurance System and regulatory requirements. You will work closely with internal teams and external regulators to maintain high safety and quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Perform quality audits, investigations and inspections in line with the QA system.
• Record findings, gather evidence and verify corrective action plans.
• Validate root‑cause analyses and ensure timely implementation of solutions.
• Liaise with SACAA and third‑party auditors during audits and inspections.
• Assist in reviewing process manuals and disseminating quality information to operational staff.
• Support new route applications and authorise technical department authorisations.
• Identify gaps in departmental quality control and recommend improvements.
• Compile weekly, monthly and quarterly QA activity reports.

Required profile

• Grade 12 or equivalent (essential).
• 5+ years auditing experience within an aviation Quality Management System.
• Quality Auditor and Lead Auditor certification, including Root Cause Analysis training.
• Familiarity with SACAA CARs, CATs and IOSA standards.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and mentor others.

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• IOSA auditing knowledge.
• Root Cause Analysis techniques.
• Safety Management Systems (SMS) understanding.
