Qualified Post Basic Pharmacist Assistant

About the role

Clicks Group is hiring a Qualified Post Basic Pharmacist Assistant for its Despatch branch in the Eastern Cape. The role covers pharmaceutical care services within the professional scope of practice and day-to-day dispensary administration in line with the company's Standard Operating Plans.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain high standards of customer service and care
• Manage efficient stock control and administration, including repacking of medicine
• Ensure efficient dispensary administration
• Perform accurate compounding
• Provide general health advice
• Keep up high standards of housekeeping and merchandise display
• Carry out ad hoc requirements as operational needs arise

Required profile

• Matric with Maths (essential)
• Minimum requirements of the Health Professions Council of South Africa for a Pharmacist Assistant (Qualified, Post Basic and Learner Basic)
• Product knowledge of health isle and OTC items
• Knowledge of SAPC and relevant legal frameworks
• Customer service orientation, teamwork, integrity, ethical practice, accuracy and attention to detail
