Qualified Diagnostic & Service Technician – Passenger Vehicles

About the role

Our client, a reputable passenger‑vehicle dealership on the South Coast of KwaZulu‑Natal, is looking for a qualified Diagnostic / Service Technician. You will join a busy workshop team, delivering high‑quality servicing, fault‑finding and repairs to manufacturer standards.

Key responsibilities

• Perform scheduled services and preventative maintenance on passenger vehicles.
• Conduct diagnostics and fault‑finding on mechanical, electrical and electronic systems using manufacturer‑approved equipment.
• Repair or replace components in line with OEM specifications.
• Complete job cards, workshop reports and related documentation accurately.
• Carry out vehicle inspections, quality checks and road‑tests where required.
• Maintain workshop tools and equipment in good condition.
• Adhere to dealership policies, health and safety regulations and manufacturer procedures.

Required profile

• Qualified Passenger Vehicle Technician (Red Seal Trade Test essential).
• Minimum 3 years post‑qualification experience in a franchised passenger‑vehicle dealership.
• Proven experience as a Diagnostic and/or Service Technician.
• Valid driver’s licence and computer literacy.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
